Finally show sewing

I have been sewing but some I couldn't show so now for the reveal.
An Advent Calendar for Charoltte.
I have had fun bringing this together hopefully I will get a pattern written for
Christmas in July 2012 LOL.

for Charlotte

Gemma and Sean moved into their new home on Monday, I frantically put this together as their settlement was quite short.
A new quilt for a new home.
for Gemma

for Gemma

All quilts must have a label.

for Gemma

for Gemma

A bag for a friend.

a swap for Judy

and another one.
I love this grey linen.

a bag for Tarsha

and the bag of goodies to fill the advent calendar which is on it's way to Moonta as I type.
I am amazed that every toy you buy these days has some sort of warning attached to it. I have not bought stuff for small children in such a long time. Is there no common sense any more we live in such an over protected world.
Well that was my little rant for the day.
Have a great weekend.

The sentiment on the label is beautiful! Did you make this up yourself? And you have been very busy with the other creations! I love the advent calendar and the bags!

The Advent calendar is lovely, looking forward to seeing the pattern in 2012. I bought some of the French General striped fabric you used for the quilt binding with the intention of using it for binding as well, looks great.

Might have to get that pattern off you for your advent calendar... don't think i will be up for it this year though. Love your labels on the bags, might have to get you to do some for me. Hope Gemma is settling in to her new home. Have fun on the weekend.

Love the advent calender, there is something about linen and red and white, always feels so Christmassy!
Beautiful bags too Leanne! You have been a busy bee!

Lovely advent calendar Leanne...I am with you on the warnings...a microwave meal..."warning contents may be hot"...hmmm...I would hope so.....we can't walk across the garden at work because one person tripped over and put in a claim for new pants.....I said I would be willing to sign something to say that if I was so unco as to trip over my own feet whilst walking across the garden I wouldn't claim for anything....ha ha..that's my rant for today! Love that grey bag......I have only been working on stuff I can't show yet...so my blog has been idle.....have a great weekend! ...and best wishes to the new home owners...how exciting for them!

I love that quilt! Especially the label. Just lovely. And everything else of course. Yes, we live in a strange world where everyone is always covering their backsides. Ridiculous really. (Plus I think it dumbs people down. If they are not expected to have common sense, they just don't bother.)

2nd attempt to leave a message. Hope Gemma and Sean are settling in to their new home and with such a lovely quilt to wrap up in. Advent calender pattern please and love the bags you have made. Lucky friends. Hmm, rotary cutters should come with a very large label warning men NOT to test them out for sharpness with their fingers.

Hi Leanne, I love your advent calendar - it's one of the best I've seen. I made one for Scarlett a few years ago but I don't love it. I think I'll buy your pattern when you release it. Love, shonny, xx

As always it is such a pleasure to visit your blog. Love ALL your projects, especially the quilt label. On your bags, do you make your own labels? The colors are perfect. I am trying to get some labels made and have just ordered a new product that I hope will work. Any hints or tips?
Looking forward to the next post and pictures!!!
