Another beautiful day

Not a lot of crafting or blogging has been done here of late. After a lovely long holiday I am back to work which cuts into my crafting time. This, I have decided is not good so I made the decision that I would resign. I like my job but have been thinking for a while that I would like to work less. I put my resignation in and my boss wouldn't accept it we have come to a compromise - once I have trained another person I will work 2 days a week which will be just enough for me.
The start of another beautiful day........... I have been trying for ages to take some photos of the cranes that are down on the lake early in the morning. I was beginning to believe they knew when I had my camera with me as the days I walked without my camera there was always a crane then the days I took my camera there was not a crane in sight. This morning I got lucky.
I love to watch them walk along in the water with their head cocked to the side looking for their breakfast.

He got lucky........... yummy worms for breakfast.

Now that school is back the school rowing teams are out on the lake.

Nearly home.

Stunning shots, as ever, Leanne, what a beautiful area you live in, and what a long neck that crane has!

Hurrah!! to working a two day week - how fab! (and what a great compliment that your boss didn't want to lose you ....)

:)

Your photos are as stunning as always Leanne! I love the crane - amazing how long his neck is!

How wonderful to be so highly regarded by your boss that he wouldn't accept your resignation - but the prospect of a 2 day week must be fantastic! And we definitely need you to be around bloggy/crafty land more!

Take care, Lucy x

Good for you to resign (or try to) ... all the older (than me) people that I talk to tell me to take every opportunity to enjoy life. And working sure cuts into that time! Must be wonderful to have such an appreciative boss! And two days a week ... how ideal is that? Spending money, the brain whetted, socialization, possibly benefits? Congrats!

All your pics are great but I especially love the one taken from above the rowers. Neat!

congratulations on going part time. i'm sure you will very much enjoy the extra time to yourself. i made the decision to resign when i had julian which has been wonderful. not good for our finances, and we are now so far behind everyone else - but it's been so good for me personally and for the kids too.
goodluck!

Sorry I removed that one...didn't proof. So I'll try again. The photos are simply beautiful. I can feel my stress melting away imagining myself on your walk. (Maybe it's that stress that makes me type so quickly and with so many errors!) Thanks so much for sharing.
