Bags, Bags and more bags

If you live in South Australia you will know that the government has banned plastic shopping bags.
I have been busy making some of my own.
One I used a charm pack and stiffening so it is a little more rigid the other has no stuffing but rolls up small enough to fit into my normal handbag.

This one was also made out of a charm pack. It was for a friend as a work bag.

Good work Leanne! I have almost finished a bag for Rhiannon to take to school using this fab pattern.....!! I have been thinking I should make up some more to take to the shops.....then I need to remember to put them in the car! LOL
Happy Mothers Day!

They're great bags Leanne. We still have plastic bags and I have to admit that I am really guilty of using them because I always forget to take an alternative. I really must try harder!

Great bags Leanne! Love the pattern!

We are still using plastic bags and though they are made of recycable plastic we should better start using fabric ones.

I love the title of this post! (I think too many bags are never enough!) Lovely bags too. So fresh and happy! (Okay, I know bags can't really be happy, but you know what I mean.) I have failed the new unplastic bag test almost everytime this week. Nothing like getting to the checkout and answering, "Bags? Did I bring bags? Ummm... no." It can only get better!

Love the cheerful shopping bags. We buy the reusable bags at the store but how much nicer to look at are these!

Love the charm squares! Go SA! How long will it take the other states to get their acts into gear?

Hope they do the same in WA! Love your new shopping bags - practical and pretty!

Grocery shopping could almost be fun if you have these beauties to put the loot into.

I just adore the monkey bag -- I think the UK government should do something about plastic bags -- I take non plastic bags with me but more often than not still end up using at least one plastic bag. These I either take to my local fruiters for them to use or back to the supermarket for recycling.... I think you should sell your bags - they are just lovely :-)

Good for you... we have more and more... what they call "green bags" here in the U.S. and well, that's all fine and good but half the time I forget them either at home or in the car until it's time to check out! Aurgh!!!! One day I will remember and the clerk will be sooo surprised! LoL...

These are really great. I am glad the bags are banned. They are horrible. Your alternatives are beautiful, though.
