A trip to Moonta

We went home to Moonta today.
I took Clarice I wanted to take some photos in one of the sheds at my mothers house.
This shed is filled with memories for me I spent a lot of time up there with my dad as a small child I think it is where I learnt to be handy.

The top shed

a lot of things are missing now and no one goes up there since my dad died but it still fills me with memories.

The roof is coming off...................... this was taken from the neighbours yards.

Sounds like a lovely day. Except for the no more water bit! Her expression is truly heartbreaking!

That must have been wonderful Leanne to spend time in the sheds during childhood! I love the pictures of the objects covered in dust!
Your great niece looks adorable! I love her sulky face when there’s no more water!

Fabulous pictures Leanne.

That shed reminds me so much of one my dad had on his property at the farm. Memories!

Your great niece is a complete doll. You captured her joy and disappointment perfectly.

That has bought back lots of happy memories of the girls playing with water and your little niece looked to be having such fun. Perhaps you could persuade Lucas to weld a few of those nuts and bolts together into something creative!!! A time for old memories and for making new ones.

I almost cried when I saw those pictures of your father's shed. Memories! Good thing you put in the pictures of your laughing grand-neice because that is really how it goes, down the generational line! Then I saw that you were in Australia when I thought you were in Montana..so now it is not just the generational thing, but also a world wide thing. I am grateful. Thank you for the pictures and the feelings.

That old hat photo brought a lump to my throat..... the bucket on the head is hysterical. No more water except from the eyes .

love the mix of dust and rust, brings back happy memories of my Pop's shed, not so much the cleaning it out when he moved into care though. You are all set for rust then for snappy friends. Isn't it amazing what distraction a bucket of water will have for a child, squid is still happy with a bucket full of water and even more amazing is how they can go from delight to despair in the blink of an eye.

Hi Lea!

I haven't checked into your blog for yonks ! Its fabulous !! Your bags are brilliant !!

Really GREAT snaps also !! They are so catching the mood. I was filled with emotion at the shed in Moonta. I had tears in my eyes when I saw Bruce-ters' hat. I have an old nail box from there out in the art room. Whenever i look at it...I smile and think about your dad. Bastards !!!!

I keep missing you on the phone..however i did speak with Tony the other day, as you were attending the photography course. How is that going? lots of "homework" ??

All well here.. busy busy! We are away at Yamba this weekend - then have a house full for a week or so.

I'm off to Brissie tomorrow to do part 2 of my framing course. Creative framing.. ie box frames. Umm watch this space..

I hear you may be looking at properties down near Vic harbour..Lovely.

Ok floss.. will catch up soon. In the meantime.. keep those fingers busy !! LOL Kerry
