Lazy Sundays

Molly is getting old she is nearly blind and doesn't hear well any more, the other day when it was hot she made herself comfortable on the lounge and went to sleep.

Not a particularly lady like pose.
I finished this quilt top this afternoon not a great photos as the quilt holder was tell me to hurry as he was missing the cricket. The quilt is for Gemma's friend who is having a baby. Gemma didn't want a baby quilt and we don't know what the baby is so this is what we came up with.

I have had these poppies flowering in my garden for months now.

I love poppies.

I disturbed this fellow when I was watering the other morning.

Molly looks very comfortable on the couch and I think there is no better way to cope with a stinking hot day. The quilt is very nice and so are the poppies, not so much the spider - yuk.

Love the quilt- so fresh and happy! I love poppies too! Molly has the right idea for a hot day! (Mr. probably missed a wicket or two too!)

That is Coco's favourite pose in the heat. Saw an interesting bird at the overflow this afternoon and I thought of you and of course I had neither my phone or my camera, think I'll go and get that massive book out and see if I can work out what it is. Love the poppy. I'm putting the binding on a cot quilt for my nail girl, she had her bub early which means I have absolute claws for nails at the moment because I have no way of trimming them - I have already damaged one and split my nail.

Just found it it was a Nankeen Night Heron only comes out at night apparently this was a bit of an early bird he was very still and looked like he was fishing and it was a boy.

Darling Molly-what a classic. Love the quilt-what a great present. The poppies have been quite prolific this year and have seemed to go on on longer than normal:)

Your Molly looks just like Bibi used to do when it got hot! So sweet.
Love the quilt! Very good choice of colors.
Nature's beauty, even though I don't like spiders.

Obviously the quilt she was lying on was nice and cosy for her too. I adore poppies too, hate spiders. Lovely baby quilt.

Love the quilt and looks like Molly knows the right place to be on a hot day! Poppies are such survivors aren't they, just keep on coming, great shots but you can keep the last one for yourself.... :o)

Was good that Molly was able to make herself comfy in such hot weather. I love the baby quilt - the colours are fantastic. I've made 2 quilts in the fabric of the quilt Molly is lying on - such pretty, gentle-looking fabrics.
