OK I've been really slack

Firstly let me say I don't cope that well with winter..... those who know me well would say I hate it...... I whinge about it all the time and really, putting it in perspective I live in Australia and our winter last about 6 weeks but still I hate it..... give me a long hot summers day any time........ perhaps I suffer from seasonal effective disorder(SAD). This is my excuse for my slack blogging and tardy email responses.
I have been doing a bit of sewing, but thought I would share the photos I took for a photo swap........ the theme was "In Motion" I stressed a fair bit over this as I have done lots of sewing swaps and am more confident in my sewing ability than my photographic ability.

July photo swap "in Motion" Gull in flight

July photo swap "in Motion" Turn fishing

Here are some other shots I took...... these cute little birds are Terns not sure which one ? Artic.

Tern

Don't you think they are cute with their punk little hair/feathers styles........they are great to watch and I am still trying to get a photo of one hitting the water..... they are easy to track in the air but when they see a fish they dive at amazing speed....... this is what I have managed to capture.

He/she has hit the water

Terns

Here he/she is coming back out of the water with their breakfast.

I have joined the amazing Donna's SSCS so I had better kick these winter blues and get sewing.

Lovely pictures - and I reckon it's a crested tern.

I saw my first daffodil this week it's warming up :)

What great pictures Leanne. I think winter got to a few of us - or just so busy!! Freezing here at the moment - coming up from the snow down south. It was just 6 degrees coming home tonight - imagine what the morning will bring. Spring will be here before we know it - so looking forward to that!

The photo's are amazing! I can't even get my kids in focus when they are moving, so diving, flying swimming birds? amazing!
Been at the sewing machine, mostly cloths, as school starts here soon, nothing to fun!
Enjoy your down time!

Your photos are absolutely stunning as always Leanne - I think these are my favourites so far! How you can doubt your photographic abilities when you produce such amazing shots is beyond me - you are incredible!

Sorry winter is getting you down - our English summer is getting me down too! I don't like hot at all but I wouldn't mind a little bit of sunshine every now and then as long as it is tempered with a light breeze - but this rain and wind and yuck is getting rather boring!!!

I don't think you should stress too much about your pics! I love the second in particular....hope you have managed to warm up and get moving again....and get some stitching done....won't be long now and you will get your wish for long hot summer days and then I will be the one complaining! LOL

Those photos are wonderful- I could see one or two of them blown up and hanging on a wall. It may not feel like it yet but spring IS coming- the first blossom has appeared on my ornamental pears in my front garden!

Those are wonderful photos Leanne and I do love that little punky tern :)

If it's any consolation our so called summer isn't up to much - rather cool and plenty of rain. I dream of a long hot summer. Most unlikely to get it though, living in the UK!!

Those pictures are amazing. Especially love the last one with the fish in the birds mouth. If you think your sewing is better than OH man it must be good!

Oh Leanne, these are brilliant shots - have faith in your photographic abilities!

And I echo what my fellow Brits have already said .... I'd rather have your winter than our "summer"!

Good luck to Gemma in her new home, and even better luck to you, not having her there.
