My World Tuesday #3

Barker Inlet Wetlands.
The beauty of Adelaide is that it is small I live 3 minutes from the beach and within an hour I can be in the hills, these wetlands are about 10 minutes away.

This Egret was looking for his breakfast then

he was off.

The pelicans were also looking for their breakfast.

My world # 3

Australian White Ibis.
My bird books says they have red naked skin under their wings which I have never noticed until looking at this photo. These birds always look dirty.

Your wetlands are gorgeous! I happen to live close to wetlands too and so I think I understand why you enjoy yours.

A lovely wetland to be so close to. Being in the eastern foothills it would be an expedition to go there although I would dearly love to snap up the birds you saw. The white Ibis is not always dirty looking, If you don't believe me, have a look at my weekly birds post one bird post down. I think perhaps the young birds don't have pure white feathers.
