On a mission

Patchwork with busy fingersAlign Center

Today I got to meet Sue Daley from "Patchwork with Busyfingers"
I was on a mission for the shop so I got to fondle all her lovely quilts.
The middle quilt is the original "Pies & Tarts".
She was so inspiring and her quilts were wonderful.

Eumundi Markets

We had a wonder around the Eumindi Markets
We saw men juggling knifes, fire and tennis rackets while balancing on goodness knows what.

Eumundi Markets

We have just had 4 lovely days at Alexandra Headland and the weather was wonderful.
I enjoyed sitting and watching the waves.

I know you may be sick of beach photos.

Break free

You can see our balcony on the 3rd floor where I have been sitting and reading and sewing hexagons.

I can never get sick of seeing beach photo's. Put as many as you like I shall love to see them all. I am truly envious that you got to meet Sue Daley as I am well and truly hooked on Pies and Tarts, plus one or two other quilts that I have seen and want on my ever growing wish list. I scanned the beach scene for a glimpse of Tony in his speedo's!!!!
Love Shirley.x

Looks like a wonderful vacation to me. Never made it to Australia and probably never will. So I get to view it through your eyes and lens ... you take great pictures.

I love looking at your photos, beaches or no beaches they are beautiful pics. I'm just a wee bit jealous though as I could do with a little warmth right now.

Beach photos! Never! Love the quilt photos too! I started my Pies and Tarts quilt after seeing Sue at our local Patchwork Shop at the end of 2008. (Aiming for a finish this year!) Keep having a great holiday in that beautiful part of the world. Suz

Hey that busker was in Adelaide 2 school holidays ago I blogged about him. Went to Henley tonight and the waves were up to the top of the jetty and wind was blowing a gale and it didn't look anything like those beaches you have been showing off with. Bloody freezing cold again with any luck you will still be able to enjoy it when you get back to adelaide.

I’ll never get sick of your photo’s! They are stunning! You could easily publish a photobook. It will sell!

Please say hi to Sue Daley for me, I met her at The Quilterspalet in The Hague last February during a show and tell of her quilts! Lots of Dutch quilters are working on pies and tarts quilts! It’s a virus!
