Australia Day & My World # 4

I consider myself very lucky to live in Australia where I can get up and walk at 7am to see seagulls floating on the lake I walk around.

Early morning on the lake

and men swimming in the early sunshine.

Early morning on the lake

Where I can look out my front door and see Lucas and his mates playing cricket.

Cricket out the front

Cricket out the front

and girls making out they are fielding.

Cricket out the front

I can walk to the end of my street and be greeted by this view

West Lakes

or this

West Lakes

and on the odd occasions I get to see sites like this on my morning walk.

I have to agree that it's very nice where you live! And even better, you like it too! (Too many people wish they lived somewhere other than where they do.)

Thanks for sharing the pictures - all very interesting and beautiful. Now that chair in the water is a little odd, but then, that is what makes it fun!

Beautiful shots of the lake and your area. Fun to see someone playing cricket. None of that here in Utah.
Chair in the lake is pretty interesting...

The morning light is lovely and the still water lends itself wonderfully to reflections. I love the cumfy armchair, what every selfrespecting lake should have, and great to see that back yard cricket still exists. Nice post.

Leanne, beat you by 1 degree yesterday. On the farm there is nothing to effectively break the wind like fences in town... it was a killer. Yep we're at 37C this morning too.
We stay at the Jamieson Caravan Pk., they have 2 de-lux cabins each with two bedrooms and lounge dining/kitchen and bathroom and verandah. As well as a coulple of others where one has to use the amenities block. All directly on the riverfront. Tel. (03) 5777 0567. Usually booked put during the height of holiday season but mostly available in spring and autumn with magical autumn colours.

It does look very lovely there and your photos are gorgeous.
Love the armchair - I reckon someone got sick of the heatwave and decided to find somewhere cooler to sit :-)
