I hate winter

I could write a million reasons why I hate winter but this is one. Does this look like a sad face? In the summer our doors are never closed and our dogs roam freely inside and out, but in winter the doors are closed to keep the heat in. This is Molly on the wrong side of the door.

I have been busy making my PIF gifts so I cannot show them. I thought I would show a pin cushion I made recently. It is rather large however I know I will never loose it. You may have noticed I am a fan of Bronwyn Hayes's women(this is another one). I fill my pin cushions with sheep's fleece which helps grease the pins. We live quite close to a warehouse that handles sheep fleece. I head off there with an empty shopping bag when I need to fill a pin cushion. The men there are always obliging, as I don't expect top of the range fleece they generally give me the amount I need.

I have also included a photo of a table runner I am working on. Both ends will look like a basket full of flowers, it is a long way from being finished.

Oh Leanne, you are making me feel really guilty - I haven't even started on my PIF gifts yet - so much to do before the end of school on Friday! and then even more to finish before our holiday - presents, orders, clothes - ahhhh! So here I am checking out blogs instead of sewing - good plan? hmmmmm!

Poor Molly, she looks so sad behind that glass. Love your pincushion and what a great idea using the fleece for the filling. Your table runner looks wonderful, look forward to seeing it when it's completed.

This is so pretty! My brother has sheep, I guess I'll have to ask them for some fleece, or steal it from their garden, as they are using it for mulch!

I can totally relate to your sentiments about disliking winter. It's not always the most enjoyable season for everyone, and your post captures the feelings that many of us experience during those colder months.

"Your blog, 'i-hate-winter,' is a relatable expression of the challenges the season brings. It's like uncovering a solution to winter blues, much like discovering a 'https://usepromos.com/how-to-get-detergent-stains-out-of-clothes/' hack—a practical guide for navigating through both chilly weather and everyday hurdles. A candid and engaging reflection."
