And they said it couldn't be done.

Christmas gift

on Tuesday at sewing I was still doing the stitchery for this.
The girls where doubtful that I would get it made to give as a gift on Wednesday.
It was done and dusted by 7.30 and I even fed the family.

Christmas gift

The pattern is an Anni Downs one and I was sad to give it away I loved it so much.
I was lucky Hetties had the same fabric that Anni had used in her sample.

Christmas Bows

Under the cover of darkness 2 weeks ago with step ladder and trusty staple gun I put big red bows around the trees in our circuit. It was blowing a gale and freezing cold Lucas helped me for about a minute then decided I was mad and it was cold so went to bed.
There are about 25 trees........ now wearing big red bows and looking very festive and no one in the circuit knows it was me.

Christmas Bows

Merry Christmas

Oh I would have loved to see all the faces as they spotted the bows on the trees. You are such a fun person and so thoughtful with your gifts, generous too. You will have to make one for yourself.
Have a great Christmas.

What an incredible project! I can imagine you were a bit sad. But then, the one you gave it to will be very very happy.
Why did you tie those ribbons around the trees?

The bows certainly took my breath away when I drove into your street. They are lovely! Secrets are such fun! I took my 10 year old Christmas shopping with me (for some of it) this year and he is delighting in the secrets he knows. It's been 3 days and he hasn't breathed a word. When we are alone he says how happy everyone will be when they know our secret. Yep. Secrets are lovely!

And you've been Santa's helper in adding bows to the trees! Great idea :)

Best wishes,

So you're an urban decorating guerilla? The bows looks fantastic and I bet your neighbours are getting a real kick out of them.

And your finished project is beautiful.

Merry Christmas to you and your family Leanne. I’m belated, but we celebrate 2 Christmas days, so my wishes still count... LOL!

Love the bows on trees:)
Also absolutely LOVE that fabric tree. I went to Hetties site, but I don´t know what the fabric line is called so couldn´t find it. Nor could I find the pattern. Please would you be kind enough to let me/us know the name of the pattern and the fabric line. I feel another MUST DO going on the list for 2011. Thanks so much.
