A swap

Back when Lucy was doing her mini quilt swap Nicky and I organised one between ourselves with no time restrains........... as I only work 2 days and just paff around and she works full time and is young and has a life.
When I went to Loxton I bundles mine up and it went over to Nicky in the safe hands of Gail....however I was a little worried about it as it had some Haighs chocolates in it......I am pleased to say every thing made it safe and sound(even the chocolates).
This was what I made for Nicky

Note to Nicky: I am only posting this as I haven't got anything else finished at the moment so remember NO PRESSURE.

A chick leaves the nest

Gemma moved out on the weekend back into the house she grew up in.......it has been a hectic, stressful few days as the tenant that moved out left it in quite a state but we wouldn't go there for fear of my blood pressure rising again.
I have lots of emotions running around inside of me at the moment........ my baby has moved out........she is 22 I left home when I was 16 and have never moved back but I really enjoy Gemma's company so I expect I will miss her heaps.....she hasn't moved that far away but it still seems strange.

The "L" team that would be Lucas & Leanne went into action

Painting G's room

and painted Gemma's room in readiness for all my sewing stuff to move in - Lucas is really helpful but he has an ulterior motive for this.... if I move into Gemma's room I am moving out of his back area and apparently my sewing stuff is very untidy Huh.

Before the move I did manage to finish this present for a friends baby....Miss Milly from "The Gift" I was pleased with how she turned out.

OK I've been really slack

Firstly let me say I don't cope that well with winter..... those who know me well would say I hate it...... I whinge about it all the time and really, putting it in perspective I live in Australia and our winter last about 6 weeks but still I hate it..... give me a long hot summers day any time........ perhaps I suffer from seasonal effective disorder(SAD). This is my excuse for my slack blogging and tardy email responses.
I have been doing a bit of sewing, but thought I would share the photos I took for a photo swap........ the theme was "In Motion" I stressed a fair bit over this as I have done lots of sewing swaps and am more confident in my sewing ability than my photographic ability.

July photo swap "in Motion" Gull in flight

July photo swap "in Motion" Turn fishing

Here are some other shots I took...... these cute little birds are Terns not sure which one ? Artic.

Tern

Don't you think they are cute with their punk little hair/feathers styles........they are great to watch and I am still trying to get a photo of one hitting the water..... they are easy to track in the air but when they see a fish they dive at amazing speed....... this is what I have managed to capture.

He/she has hit the water

Terns

Here he/she is coming back out of the water with their breakfast.
