A bag for Em

Our friend Em was 21 this week and last night we went to her party. It was a lovely night which saw us dressed in cocktail attire. Tony has decided he is getting old when most of the music played is our music remixed and his hearing is so bad he can only catch 2 words in every sentence. We came home after midnight and I heard Lucas drag himself in around 4:30 this morning.
This is what I made Em, she has just finished a teaching degree and is going on to do honors this year. I am always uncertain about making thinks I like for the younger generation but Gemma liked this bag so I thought I would be safe.

Baguette bag

It is the Baguette bag by Cinderberry Stitches.
The pattern is in the November Homespun.

Baguette bag

I used a Moo Moo huneybun called Wonderland(I think)

Baguette bag

The stitcheries are very cute but quick to do.

Baguette bag

Inside it has 2 very colourful pockets and stripey side panels.
It is a lovely large bag perfect for Em to carry all her books to school in.

Those handles are perfect. I have decided to make mine in the colours I am using for my tailfeather quilt I have plenty of fabric so will get on to it when the quilt is finished I think and then I can use it to put the quilt in. Though I love your version too.

it is a gorgeous bag, I quite agree.Lovely mix of fabrics as well, how could she not love it, but I hear what you say, as I am always just a little unsure when giving to young people!
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
