Life serves you lemons sometimes

Life is funny at times you never know what is around the corner so my advice is, to enjoy each and every day and hug the people you love.

Tony was diagnosed with bowel cancer about 3 weeks ago he has been out of hospital for a week and we now face 6 months of chemotherapy.

So like I said hug the ones you love ....... I will not be around much in the coming months we have bigger fish to fry.

On a brighter note I have had one of my a bag patterns published in this months Homespun.

I am really pleased but wish it had been at a better time in my life.

This is my knitting bag the same as the one in Homespun but without the sash and buckle.
It is a great size for all your craft projects.

I am sorry to hear it. Life can and does change in an instant. You are right, it is best to live each day in love and with no regrets. Trust that all goes well through the treatments but it is not a pleasant six months that stretch before you. Strength and courage and faith.

Sorry to hear that Tony is not well and hope the treatment all goes well for him. Lovely bag project. I hope that carting around some hand work brings you some comfort in the following months, because it is the endless waiting that can be the hardest.

I wanted to tell you about my sister, she was diagnosed with bowel cancer, after surgery she too had 6 months of chemo, first intravenous but she was found to be allergic so then chemo tablets. She had a colostomy bag which was reversed after a year. This was eight years ago and she is well and discharged from the hospital. It won't be easy but you will get through it, have courage and faith.
My very best wishes to you both, I hope for a speedy recovery for your husband.
